Healthy Chocolate & Banana Muffins

A chocolatey hit for little ones with no added sugar — just ripe banana doing the sweetening. Soft, freezer-friendly, and ready in about 15 minutes.

👶 Suitable for 12m+  ⏰ Ready in ~15 min  ❄️ Freeze up to 3 months, or keep in a container for 2 days.

Ingredients

  • 125g (1 cup) oat flour
  • 30g (¼ cup) cocoa powder
  • 3 very ripe small–medium bananas
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda (bicarbonate of soda)
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • Handful of chocolate chips (optional)

Method

  1. Heat your oven to 180°C.
  2. In a bowl, mix the oat flour, cocoa, baking powder and baking soda. Add the milk, egg and banana and mix until combined. Stir through chocolate chips if using.
  3. Spoon evenly into muffin cases (paper or silicone).
  4. Bake for 12–14 minutes. Cool before serving.
