Strawberry Cream Cheese Heart Puffs

Sweet little puff-pastry hearts with strawberry and cream cheese — a fun weekend bake to make and share.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet ready-made puff pastry, thawed
  • 60g cream cheese
  • 60g finely chopped strawberries

Method

  1. Finely chop the strawberries and set aside.
  2. Soften the cream cheese in a bowl with a spoon.
  3. Flour a surface and roll the pastry into a large rectangle. Cut out hearts with a cookie cutter, then score a smaller heart inside each with a toothpick.
  4. Transfer the hearts to a lined baking tray. Spread cream cheese on the inner heart.
  5. Add the chopped strawberries to the inner heart.
  6. Brush the outer pastry with a little milk. Bake at 200°C for 18–20 minutes, until golden and puffed.
